Is there a product you want to buy just because of its packaging?
Lots, I know LOL!
But if the packaging drags on your wallet, then Chanel Rouge Seductive Velvet Nuit Blanche will make them human flip-flops. The white, black-rimmed lid is gorgeous!
Chanel Rouge Seduction Velvet white
Rouge Temptation Velvet is not a new collection; it is Chanel’s homage to matte lipsticks. As someone who doesn’t like matte lipsticks because of their dry texture (most of the time), I found these Chanel lipsticks to be the only ones for me.
These colors are dyed, not fancy; they are not flat matte colors and textures, but luminous matte, just like velvet, which has a matte look but also has a gloss that makes it look plush.
In this limited edition of the Rouge Seduction Velvet Nuit Blanche collection, 8 limited edition colors are packaged in original white packaging.
It is said that from 00:00 to 07:00, these colors reflect each hour of the night, and each has one color.
This brand gives me 4 colors.
- 00:00 – Described as Sienna red, a brown red, Chanel says it starts a night of hope. It’s a color that most skin tones can wear without being too bold.
- 01:00 – Described as brick orange, this looks like a warm red in the tube but applies reddish-orange. It’s not a color I usually wear because it’s too warm for my skin tone. But this red is a lovely shade for you if you have a darker or a golden, warm complexion.
- 02:00 – In the test tube, it looks bright red and is described as orange-red. However, I found it suited to cool raspberry undertones, which flatter me and look young.
- 06:00 – Described as a polished mahogany, 06:00 has a berry tint to my eyes. It has more of a berry tone than in the photo above. There was a time when this was the color I liked to wear when my lips were darker. These days, I prefer brighter and lighter colors because they look younger.
It tastes as good as I remember. During this time, I mostly used lipsticks from my collection, which was nothing new, so injecting some new colors and textures into my collection was refreshing.
I like that the color is pigmented, not too flashy or opaque, and looks like a film over your lips. I have a more casual and relaxed lifestyle now, so when I wear lipstick, it’s mostly for events (outdoors), so it’s important to me that it looks good, lasts a long time, and doesn’t show spots when it fades. For me, Rouge Temptation Velvet fits those criteria.
It’s also nice to pull out a white lipstick tube that looks and feels firm and can touch up your makeup. There’s no longer the luxury of staying in air-conditioned indoor activities, and lipstick that lasts when I’m sweating in the sun is an excellent addition to my collection.
However, I’ll be the first to admit that these colors are no more exciting than the Chanel Rouge Seduction Velvet Lipstick collection. This is a reasonably comprehensive range because of its stance, so these 8 colors added to it are minimal.
Anyone who wanted to buy this from the Nuit Blanche range did so, for the most part, for the gorgeous white tubular lid – and honestly, there’s no shame in admitting that 😛
The four-color lattice you see here is priced at RM872. However, I buy the colors separately as only four colors are for some. Buying the colors separately is also cheaper (RM218/ US$50 per piece)! 😛
If you love matte lipsticks and want a lipstick that lasts, but not a solid flat matte, but one with a hint of gloss to accentuate the contours of your lips, Rouge Seduction Velvet is a cute collection to consider.
But if you want something that won’t move and will last for a few hours, you’re better off looking elsewhere because they’ll fade – not as quickly as shiny lipsticks.
