When We’re Ready to Wear Lip Color in Public Again, It Will Be Chanel Rouge Cocoa Bloom

Oh my God, when was the last time I reviewed makeup?! (I check. That was a year ago, in February 2020!) It’s hard to look back on something when you haven’t used it, and I spend most of the year giving up makeup.

But recently, I decided to apply a little. At the same time, I was out and about to keep my hands on it, and my eyes fell on a bucket of Shiseido Minimalist powder blush that I bought two years ago and never used. Thank you, lockdown. Ha ha!

Well, I’m here to tell you that if you’re also starting to come back to make-up bikes and are looking for an easy-to-use, pretty blush, I highly recommend this one, Shiseido – it blew me away! 😀

Shiseido Minimal powder blush

This product is a mousse-type blush with a slight marshmallow texture. It comes in a small, portable, and smooth glass jar.

It was one of the first products Shiseido launched when it revamped its cosmetics line a year or two ago. That’s when I bought myself a bucket of their blush. Of course, I have to brush my blush – I’m a sucker for blush, haha! 😛

The texture is from dry mousse to powder. It’s like you’re touching a marshmallow. You may have noticed a crack in my blush. That’s because it’s been on hold for a while. What surprised me more was that it didn’t dry up.

It feels just as cute and cozy as the day I bought it!

The easiest way to apply Shiseido Minimal Powder blush

I’ve tried applying blush in several ways. Still, I’ve found the easiest way to apply Shiseido’s minimalist powder blush is with a brush.

I shared this advice back in 2013! It’s 2021, and I’m still using the same trick, which shows that it works if it works! 😀

I like to use a smaller blush brush (natural or synthetic hair is fine) and have big but thick hair. I then gently dab it on the surface of the blush and quickly dab and blend it on the cheeks. Repeat as necessary.

Oh, my God, there’s pigment!

When I first applied blush, I first noticed, oh my God! It’s pigment! Because it is!

Using a brush spreads the color more evenly and is easier to control. If you use your fingers, you can, too, make the colors more mottled.

This is how Shiseido’s minimalist powder blush in Sonoya 01 looks on me. It is described as warm pink, which is entirely accurate. If you look closely inside the pan, you will notice some flashes. However, it is very subtle and does not shine on the cheek at all.

I didn’t notice the glow on your cheeks. It could work by adding a three-dimensional feel to the skin so it doesn’t look flat. It’s beautiful.

I only used the slightest speck to show the color, which was pretty impressive. Since I haven’t been wearing a lot of makeup lately, it was quite surprising to see my skin color! 😛

Its texture is powdery when dry, so I don’t get the greasy feeling on my skin that cream blush products sometimes get. It is very transparent and blends perfectly with the skin, so it looks more natural.

I can’t guarantee longevity because I no longer wear makeup for long. I have dry skin, so I am curious how effective it will be on oily skin. But it’s going to be okay.

I love using this blush and recommend it if you want something a little different. Something of light. Something easy to use. This is it.
